How to select round steel pipe in the market

In the modern times, each project is judged on its use of structural steel pipes from both an architectural and structural engineering perspective. Since steel buildings are more than just a lower costing option, there are a couple of practical considerations before you want to choose structural steel pipe as one of the building materials for your project. As a rule, scaffolding materials are usually selected based on the specific type of project under construction in life. Round steel pipes are the most common types of scaffolds used in the construction site. As one common type of structural frames in the current steel pipe market, round steel pipe has been widely used in a variety of structural building projects in the modern society. In most common purchase, some customers often question about the differences between hot rolled steel pipes and cold rolled steel pipes. As we all know, different types of steel will undergo a wide range of processes to achieve the proper physical properties. In general, there are some fundamental differences between these two types of metal, because of their different processing methods at the mill, but not simply the product specification or grade. Theoretically, the only difference between hot rolled and cold rolled steels is that hot rolled steel is rolled to its final dimensions when it is hot enough to scale (over about  1700℉) while cold rolled steel is rolled to its final dimensions well below scaling temperatures. When steel is above the recrystallization temperature, it can be shaped and formed easily, and the steel can be made in much larger sizes. Hot rolled steel is typically cheaper than cold rolled steel due to the fact that it is often manufactured without any delays in the process, and therefore the reheating of the steel is not required (as it is with cold rolled).
